What We Believe

ARTICLE III - STATEMENT OF FAITH

Section 3.1 - The Scriptures
We believe the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the complete and final revelation of His will for the salvation of humanity and the ultimate authority on all matters of Christian faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Section 3.2 - The Godhead
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct but co-equal persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love.
(Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Section 3.3 - Jesus Christ
We believe in the absolute deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His authentic miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death on the cross through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection from the dead; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal, visible return in power and glory. He is the sole mediator between God and humanity.
(John 1:1, 14; Colossians 1:15-19; Romans 3:23-25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11)

Section 3.4 - The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ, indwelling them to live a holy and victorious life. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation that empowers believers for witness and service, often evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and the operation of the spiritual gifts.
(John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Galatians 5:22-23)

Section 3.5 - Salvation
We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are therefore under condemnation. Salvation is a gift from God, offered by grace and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. This faith is expressed through repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through His substitutionary sacrifice, we receive forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life.
(Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10)

Section 3.6 - The Church
We believe the Church is the living Body of Christ on earth, a spiritual organism composed of all born-again believers. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers, gathered for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism, committed to fulfilling the Great Commission.
(Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:19-20; Hebrews 10:24-25)

Section 3.7 - Christian Life & Ordinances
We believe that every Christian is called to a life of holiness, righteousness, and service, seeking to live in obedience to God's Word and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We observe two ordinances commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ:

Water Baptism: The immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as a public profession of faith and a symbol of their death to sin and resurrection to new life in Christ.

The Lord's Supper (Communion): A symbolic act of remembrance of Christ's death, through which believers partake of bread and the fruit of the vine, expressing their fellowship with Him and with one another until He returns.
(Romans 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Section 3.8 - The Future
We believe in the blessed hope—the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of eternal life in heaven, and the lost to the resurrection of eternal judgment.
(Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
